Pantech Breakout breaks cover and appears to be yet another 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon

Pantech is surely revving things up with their handset offerings, especially now that they’re in the business of producing Android smartphones, but we’re getting our first look at what appears to be their upcoming LTE enabled device.

Looking at the leaked screenshot showing the Pantech Breakout for Verizon below, we’re given a small peek at the design of the handset, but more importantly, it’s showing support for 4G LTE connection. However, it’s unclear at this point if it’s the same device as the Pantech Apache, which was seen over at the FCC of late.

Nevertheless, it’s looking very likely to be one competitively priced smartphone – especially when this is Pantech device we’re talking about. In terms of specs, it’s modest to say the least, and features things like a 4” WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 390MB of internal storage, microSD card slot, front-facing camera, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

So far, we’ve seen nothing but premium pricing attached to Big Red’s set of LTE enabled smartphones, but there’s a very good likelihood that the Pantech Breakout will beat them all to the mark.
