Samsung Set to Debut Windows 8 Tab at BUILD Conference

Despite the raging legal battle between Apple and Samsung over patent infringements that has seen the Galaxy Tab and certain Android smartphones yanked from store shelves across Europe and Japan, the Korean manufacturer is lining up a Windows 8 tablet device at the forthcoming Microsoft BUILD conference in a week’s time.
It seems logical that Samsung wants to hedge its bets with Microsoft in the tablet space, having already shown off the modular Series 7 Slate at IFA last month.
According to the Korea Economic Daily the Windows 8 tablet will be revealed at the prestigious developers conference in California on 13 September. A source told the news outlet, “This new product manufactured by Samsung will be the company’s first collaboration with Microsoft in its hardware devices.”
The downside however is that even if Samsung show off a Windows 8 Slate, it could be many months before we see any actual products we can go out and buy in a shop, that is if Apple hasn’t slapped a legal injunction on them first! We wait with baited breath.
